Born and Raised in Cameroon, Danielle Kamtié is a progressive professional in project management in the international development sector, a young leader for the SDGs, and advocate for youth empowerment, youth inclusion in the SDGs and governance, making waves of change for youth inclusive global development. As a fierce champion for youth inclusion in creation of a sustainable world, she has a dedication on expanding access to youth engagement on clean water and sanitation for all, gender equality, education, amongst others. She believes that young people, independently of their backgrounds, are agents of change and innovation leaders, connecting local communities and ready to take the necessary risks for their communities in a rapidly changing world.
She holds a master’s degree in Humanitarian Action and International Development from Université Laval, and is an ACT Alliance Academy fellow on advocacy on climate and gender justice.
As a changemaker, and youth advocate, Danielle is passionate about everything youth and everything Sustainable Development. her passion led her to take several leadership roles, and she has served as the Vice President of the World Youth Parliament for Water- WYPW,a youth advocate and researcher for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), she is the Founder/Co-founder of the African Youth Parliament for Water- AYPW, and is a valued board member for the Blue water school networks. Through these experiences, Danielle has collaborated with and mobilized +30 000 youth voices, in +50 countries worldwide, and has worked with numbered decision makers for youth empowerment, youth inclusion in governance, in quality education, safe access to clean water and sanitation for all, and gender equality.
Danielle is a distinguished keynote speaker, having been a youth representative and hosted various high-level events globally with UNESCO, UNICEF, GIZ, UN-Water, the Kofi Annan Foundation, AQOCI, the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, the World Youth Parliament for Water, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Aquafed, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Global Cooperation Caucus, the government of Canada.
